Late Fall and Winter in Atlantic Canada can be intense. While many travel to warmer destinations to get some relief, others stay at home and brave what Mother Nature throws at the region. Many aviation enthusiasts and air show fans, however, choose to cope by counting down the days to the next air show, and after a recent announcement from Air Show Atlantic, we now know the location of Air Show Atlantic 2025.
Since 2017, I have had the opportunity to cover 7 Air Show Atlantic productions at various locations throughout Atlantic Canada. Each year, I have been able to attend Media Day which allowed me to conduct some fascinating interviews with some amazing performers. One of the most exciting interviews, was back in 2019, when I had the absolute privilege of speaking with Lt. Commander, James Haley, Pilot #2 of the Blue Angels in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.
At the 2024 Air Show Atlantic, I had the
pleasure of interviewing Brigadier Edward Sandry, Defense Attaché of the the British High Commission based in Ottawa who was traveling along with with the RAF Red Arrows.
In a new release, this past week Air Show Atlantic made the following announcement as to the location for Air Show Atlantic 2025.
"On June 28th and 29th, we return to the Summerside Airport after 7 years!
Initial performers will be announced as early as next week, and the air and static display lineups will be announced gradually over the next several months.
The process and move to Summerside from Greenwood is underway. Our partner Tidal Tractor in Port Williams, Nova Scotia gave us the tools to load a transfer truck worth of site material earlier this week. Their skid steer and equipment is a vital part of us being able to execute our travelling air show.
We extend them a huge thank you in helping make our moves from show site to show site a bit smoother!"
For aviation enthusiasts living in the Martime provinces, the Air Show had been a along time summer tradition that draws thousands of excited spectators every year.
Since the early 1980's there have been 39 air shows held at various locations around the region.
See you in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, on June 28th and 29th, 2025!
